The highly anticipated launch of 8@BT in Upper Bukit Timah saw strong sales over its first weekend, with 83 units (53% of the total 158) sold at an average price of $2,719 per square foot (psf). The development’s one-bedroom units proved to be the most popular, with 91% of the 32 available units snapped up, starting at $1.34 million.
Families with children made up the majority of buyers, while upgraders and right-sizers also showed strong interest. Notably, one-third of buyers were between the ages of 31 and 40, with younger professionals and retirees also contributing to the sales mix. The majority of purchasers were Singaporeans or permanent residents, with one foreign buyer from the U.S.
Located in District 21, 8@BT benefits from its proximity to Beauty World MRT station and nearby amenities such as the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. The development includes a mix of one- to four-bedroom units and two penthouses, with unit sizes ranging from 517 sq ft to 1,593 sq ft.
Market analysts attribute the healthy sales to pent-up demand in the area, which has limited new home options following the sell-out success of nearby projects like The Linq @ Beauty World and The Reserve Residences. 8@BT’s performance is one of the strongest this year, second only to Lentor Mansion, which saw 75% of its units sold during its launch in March and Kassia, which saw 52% of its units sold during its launch in July..
With its appealing location, efficient unit layouts, and strong demand from both upgraders and right-sizers, 8@BT is poised to continue attracting buyers in the coming months.
